PHP is the coming-together of talents who are superstars in their own, indivual right as well.The name Press Hit Play, meanwhile, comes from the fact that the group wanted something that was easy to remember but still represents their music; "It simply means, once you press this hit song, it will always play in your mind."Redefining the Philippine Idol scene, the idea for the group is not to replicate what has already been done, but to futher an identity and style that is distinctly Pinoy. They aim to inspire even more artist to rise from the local scene: those who are not afraid to dream and work hard and do whatever it takes to pursue those dreams.
